Marilyn is a licensed clinical social worker with forty years of experience in areas related to loss and psychological trauma. Treatment may address loss or grief reaction to life transitions, such as the loss of a child, the divorce or death of a partner, spiritual crisis, or life-threatening illness, as well as the experience of single-incident trauma. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Marilyn has practiced Reiki since 1998.
Marilyn is certified in psychological acupressure techniques such as TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) as well as being a Level II EMDR practitioner. These therapies contribute to a holistic approach, augmenting her foundation of Mind/Body and Gestalt work, cognitive behavioral and systems theory.
Marilyn facilitates two support groups for individuals Living with Metastatic Cancer. The support group in Natick, MA is for individuals with any diagnosis of advanced cancer and the group in Harvard, MA is located within a healing center community for women with breast cancer.

It's hard to sell myself, when the power only comes through me. I am but the vessel for God's healing energy. It's a selfless act on my part, truly a labor of love. So, instead of saying how good I am, let me offer a story. Details on my practice follow after. When I started, Reiki By Jerry was suppose to make it sound personal and chic. I was a skeptic with a gift. I had my doubts of it's power, or if I had it at all. Then a neighbor called one night, crying and in pain. Her doctor at the time, tried to knead and force her sore muscles back into place. Then he told her to take advil, give it a few days and come back. She called and asked if I could help. I doubted my abilities, but was not going to turn down a friends cry for help. As low as my table was set, it was hard for her to get on it, but once on, the Miricle of Reiki proved helpful. Instead of doing a whole body treatment we just concentrated on a single area. Before my hands even touched her, she thought I placed a heating pad on her back. Whatever Higher Power you believe in, GOD was there working on my friend. After about 20 minutes we could both feel the muscles loosening and relaxing under my hands. She was able to get off the table on her own, took the stairs instead of the elevator, and once home, slept through the night. Mainly because we were both at a loss for words, we did it again the next day (wednesday), and Friday she was back to playing tennis. This is where I should put the disclaimer that results may vary. Well, they may, but Reiki GETS RESULTS. Most ads that state a success story even dare to say results not typical. There is nothing about Reiki results that ARE typical. No drugs, performed THROUGH clothing, no nudity, and no side effects, except for soothing relaxation and the chance you leave without the pain you came with.
