Hello, my name is John Alcheman and I am the creator of Circle of Healers. Although not a professional massage therapist, I have been personally involved in massage and the healing community for many years. I currently live in a small intentional community with two professional massage therapists and a Reiki practitioner...which is really nice. I also live with the greatest healer in my life...my beautiful son River! My profession for the last seven years has been web development and teaching in a middle school part time. For five years I have run Organic Digital (http://www.organicdigital.com), a home-based web design company, where I have made many sites for holistic health practitioners among others. I noticed that I have seldom gotten approached by individual therapists to make a web site because it is too costly and complex a process for them. Yet I also know from experience that there are a large number of office workers and others that regularly use the Internet, who are using it to find a therapist. So I decided to build this site, which offers a service that allows holistic healers to put together their own web site out of pre-made templates easily and most importantly inexpensively. It is also a large holistic health directory growing rapidly in popularity. Any holistic healer is welcome to list their business on here for free. I also offer enhanced listings which are explained more on the memberships page. I have been very pleased with the positive response that I've gotten from therapists so far and will continue to add resources on this site for the holistic health community.
